V1.1.0 Released!

GENERAL

"Adventure" is the first release of the collection of menus I want to make for RPG MAKER MZ. This in-game menu has been thought for games that gives importance to actors stats and design. It gives a faster look at actor params and it draws battler sprites inside the menu.

FEATURES:

  • Animated Battler sprites with motions on command select;
  • Single command window;
  • Customizable background and you have the chance to remove it too;
  • Game name text customizable style. You can remove it if you don't want it;
  • Customizable params icons, names and gauge colors.

PLUGIN PARAMETERS:

Background Name -> This parameter allows you to set the background of the menu. The image is taken from the img/pictures/ of your project. Leaving it void, it will set as background the default map snap.

Draw Game Title? -> Inside the menu is drawn the game title. You can set it ON/OFF

Game Title Style -> If drawing the game title, you can set the style of the text applying the PIXI.Style rules in JSON format. You can create your PIXI.Style here.

Inside the menu are drawn the default actor params in a window. You can edit some of their options through those params:

Param Icons -> The icons' index taken from the iconSet image of your project.

Param Names: The name of the params you're going to use.

Param Gauge Colors: -> Each param will draw a gauge of rate currentStat/maxClassStat determining character growth. Using this parameter you can change the color in relation to your windowskin.

PLUGIN COMPATIBILITY:

This plugin should be compatible with VisuStella's core's plugins and It should not give problems with other plugins if they do not affect intensively default RPG MAKER MZ library.

CREDITS:

The background used for showcasing the plugin and as wallpaper of this page has been created by jkjkke on OpenGameArt.

You can download the edited version of the background used for showcasing the plugin. If you use it, remember to credit the original author mentioned above.

RPG MAKER VERSION:

The plugin is developed on Rpg Maker MZ - Version 1.3.2 and with the related PIXI.js Version 5.2.4.

This plugin is NOT compatible with RPG MAKER MV.

TERMS OF USE:

  • Credits to BlueMoon.
  • Avoid to change plugin information, filename and parameters name for the sake of integrity of the code.
  • Edits to the code are allowed.
  • The plugin can be used for both commercial and non-commercial projects.
  • You can't redistribute this plugin as it is or incorporating portion of the code inside another plugin;

Hi Bluemoon, i bought it today, i have a problem, i am testing  in my rpgmmz project (also in an empty project) and in both cases i can't see animated battler sprites (in any resolution). Please, any idea or solution for this?

Another problem that i notice, if the font size of the game is big (for example 40) it is showed over the name of parameter.

And for last, i would like to suggest that command window and stats window would be bigger in high resolution, because it left a lot of empty space. I hope you can continue developing this plugin, thank you.

Hello there! Thank you very much for your feeback!
What do you mean when you say "i can't see animated battlers"? Do you have a screenshot to be shared?
This way I could understand what's the problem of the font size as well and decide to add a parameter for handling with it.

And for last, i would like to suggest that command window and stats window would be bigger in high resolution, because it left a lot of empty space. I hope you can continue developing this plugin, thank you.

This is a good idea! I'm going definitely to add this in the next plugin update.

Im basic in english xd, i mean they doesn't appears. Yes, i attached it here

Mmm... I see! That's strange, any chance you don't have set battlers inside the Actor's database entries as they're took from there.

However, thank you again for your feedback! I'll make a new update to the plugin soon :)

No chance, my project has characters, and the empty (new) project has the default characters with the  three images. I attached a screenshot about font size.

I refer about numbers below animated sprites

I have noticed that this menu goes completely wonky with any resolution  that is not the default. Are there any plans to support other resolutions, or give us a more granular control of where things are rendered?

Hello there!

Thank you for your feedback. An update Is planned for this plugin as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience!

is there a way to make the actor map sprites show up instead of the sideview?

When selecting a character, the action will continue when changing to another character

hello I would like to reproduce via a plugin all the mechanics of the pokemon games white and black version and I want everything to be fully customizable graphics interfaces etc ..., how much will it cost me please? finally if you created it for me of course

(1 edit)

Love this! Though, I'm a bit confused on one thing. How did you make the party members react as the cursor goes over them? The ones that appear in my party menu are static.

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply, I have been so busy in this period.
About the bug you reported, it's strange as the animations should be processed automatically. However, since you reported the issue, as soon as possible I will publish an update of the plugin with polished code.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

No worries, appreciate the response!

Hey I also encountered the same problem

I found that he is not compatible with VisuStella's combat core

thank for the further reports! In these days I'm working on update for the plugin. Thank you everybody for the support!

Hey there! A new version of the plugin has been updated that should solve this issue. A new version is scheduled in the future as well with some other polishing updates. Thank you for the support!

Another awesome plugin! ✦.✦
May I ask if you have any plans to make a ring menu plugin?
A few plugins exist for MV but I haven't seen a single one for MZ yet. T_T
In case you're wondering what a "Ring Menu" is, look at this video(Start watching at 48secs):

Im currently making a Mana fan game, so a ring menu is something I would really love to have!

Anyway! Thanks as always for making all these neat plugins! :D
